Microsoft Ads does not offer automatic IP blocking via any automation like API. Instead, IPs need to be blocked manually via your Microsoft Ads account. Due to this limitation, ClickCease currently offers Microsoft Ads monitoring only, and provides you with a list of the fraudulent IPs, based on your detection rules, our machine learning and AI.
Setting Up Microsoft Ads Monitoring with ClickCease:
Setting tracking for your Microsoft ads in your ClickCease account is simple:
-
The required tracking method for Microsoft Ads is the Tracking Code. Please make sure to add the code to all your website landing pages (please see all about installing the HTML tracking code).
-
Your Microsoft Ads need to be auto tagged, please make sure to enable this feature.*
-
Make sure to enable Microsoft click ID.
-
If you've added our tracking template to your Microsoft ads account by any chance, please make sure to have it removed. The tracking template is solely used for Google Ads, not for Microsoft ads and can be found on the same page as step 3.
Once you complete these 4 steps you will start seeing Microsoft Ads traffic on your ClickCease account.
*Please note that due to a recent changes made by Microsoft regarding their auto-tagging, ClickCease is counting the clicks that include a UTM in their path.
